These terms govern your use of the KcalOS mobile app ("KcalOS", "the app"). By using KcalOS you agree to them.

The app

KcalOS is a straightforward calorie and macro tracker. You log what you ate against a built-in food table — or type a number straight in — and it shows where the day stands and how the week went. It needs an account, and your diary is saved to it; the app keeps its own copy on your phone so it opens and works with no connection. If you ask, it can also estimate a meal from a photo or a description.

KcalOS is not medical advice

KcalOS is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing it shows you is medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet, training or medication, particularly if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury or illness. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Your data is yours

What you enter is yours, and we make no claim to it. Your diary, your weight history, your daily water and your supplement checklist are saved to your account, so they come back after a reinstall or on a new phone. The answers you gave during setup stay on this phone, apart from the four our other apps share. A photo you send for an estimate is kept on your account and not on the phone, and deleting an entry does not delete its photo. What we hold, what we pass on and what we do not keep are described in the Privacy Policy.

Accuracy

KcalOS calculates from reference data, from what you enter, and — when you ask for one — from an AI estimate of a photo or a description. Reference values are approximations, what you enter may be estimated, and an AI estimate is a guess from what it was shown, which you can correct before you save it. Your calorie and macro targets are not a guess: they come from a published equation and never from a model. Treat every number as a useful estimate rather than a measurement, and do not rely on KcalOS where precision matters medically.

Availability

KcalOS is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We may change or discontinue it at any time. Logging against the built-in food table and quick add work with no connection, so the app keeps working on the version you have installed; signing in, saving to your account and asking for an estimate need our server, and we do not promise it is always reachable.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, thetinyapp and its contributors will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of KcalOS, including any decision made on the basis of what it displays.
