Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Calsense mobile app ("Calsense", "the app"). By using Calsense you agree to them.
The app
Calsense turns what you ate into calories, macronutrients and micronutrients, measured against reference intakes adjusted for your body, your goal, your diet and any health conditions you tell it about. It needs an account, and your diary is saved to it; the app keeps its own copy on your phone so it opens and works with no connection.
Calsense is not medical advice
Calsense is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing it shows you is medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet, training or medication, particularly if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury or illness. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Your data is yours
What you enter is yours, and we make no claim to it. Your diary is saved to your account, so it comes back after a reinstall or on a new phone. Meal photos are the exception: they stay on the phone that took them and we hold no copy, so a picture is not restored anywhere and keeping it safe — through your own device backups — is up to you. What we hold, what we pass on and what we do not keep are described in the Privacy Policy.
Accuracy
Calsense calculates from reference data, from what you enter, and — for dishes it does not know — from an AI estimate of a description or a photo. Reference values are approximations, what you enter may be estimated, and an AI estimate is a guess from what it was shown, which you can correct. Treat every number as a useful estimate rather than a measurement, and do not rely on Calsense where precision matters medically.
Availability
Calsense is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We may change or discontinue it at any time. Logging and the reference list work with no connection, so the app keeps working on the version you have installed; signing in, saving to your account and asking for an estimate need our server, and we do not promise it is always reachable.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, thetinyapp and its contributors will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Calsense, including any decision made on the basis of what it displays.
